Romanian Minister Costea Under Pressure to Resign After Barnevernet Comments

Europe, especially Eastern Europe has become allergic to the idea of Barnevernet-style child protection. This is for good reason given the recent abuses by the Norwegian CPS in cases like the Bodnariu, Nan and Avramescu families.

Romanian labor, family and social protection minister Claudia Ana Costea was asked if a brutal and aggressive CPS like Barnevernet is needed in Romania.

The minister proceeded to defend Barnevernet actions calling them “social discipline.”

Well, common sense Romanians have picked up on it and are calling for her resignation. Blogs, social media and internet comments are buzzing with disapproval toward her stance.

Separating children from their parents based on trivial reasons is not social discipline. It is a human rights violation.

Minister Costea seems to not understand the difference between violation of basic human rights like access to due process in CPS cases and social discipline. She apparently thinks that the two are one and the same concept. Looks the money that the Norwegian government poured into Romania and the Norwegian exportation of CPS ideology have tainted the minister and the Romanian government. No wonder president Klaus Iohannis has been quiet on the issue.

Romania does not need Barnevernet mercenaries.  Romania needs the children of its citizens returned to them.

Let’s see what minister Costea has to say when tens of thousands will hit the streets in Romania on April 16th, 2016 and protest against Barnavernet actions. Hopefully she will no longer be a minister by then.

April 16th 2016 Anti-Barnevernet Protest in Los Angeles: Initial Press Release

The following is the initial press release document which is being sent to news outlets in the greater Los Angeles area to alert them to the upcoming April 16th protest. It is the first in a series of press releases meant to build up interest in covering the anti-Barnevernet movement. It will be followed by more detailed press releases as we approach the day of the protest

Citizens of Southern California Against Norway’s Barnevernet

GLOBAL PROTEST AGAINST NORWAY’S BARNEVERNET’S (CPS) HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS WILL TAKE PLACE IN LOS ANGELES AND MANY OTHER CITIES

Los Angeles, CA. April 16, 2016 10:00AM
Federal Building West Los Angeles, 11000 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles 90024.

Local Southern California leaders and residents (over 1000 protesters) will be gathering at the Federal Building in Westwood to peacefully protest the “legal” child kidnappings of the Barnevernet, the Child Protective Service of the Norwegian government, which has become infamous for human rights violations.

Barnevernet is a considerable segment of the Norwegian government and has autonomous authority in handling child welfare.  Classifying every case as CONFIDENTIAL and SECRET, it is not been held accountable by the Norwegian government and media.

There is compelling evidence that Barnevernet has used ridiculous reasons, such as insufficient time spent with the child, emotional disconnect with parents, not being wealthy enough to raise a child, and religious upbringing, to forcefully remove children from their parents placing them in foster homes without any court ruling and no respect for the presumption of innocence.

Barnevernet confiscates children without due process, without social investigations and without warning.

They have used lengthy, manipulating interrogations of children to obtain accusations against their parents. When parents do win court hearings, Barnevernet claims new separation anxiety and trauma for the child to separate from the foster parents, and it refuses to return the child back to his/her biological parents.

The suffering caused by “legal” child kidnappings, has led to children committing suicide, parents forced to divorce with false hopes promised by Barnevernet that they will obtain their children back, and parents committing suicide themselves.

Spearheaded by the Bodnariu Family case, where five children were confiscated without merit, but also on behalf of families from Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, India, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, Latvia, Russia and the USA, global demonstrations and marches will be held.

Beginning in Sydney and Brisbane, Australia and continuing to multiple cities in Romania, Norway, Germany, England and Spain, Canada and finally here in the U.S., in New York, Miami, Atlanta, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Saint Louis, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Seattle, Portland, Sacramento and Los Angeles, 100,000 people will take to the streets on April 16, 2016 to protest the human rights violations taking place in Norway.

Video Appeal from the Czech Republic to Join the April 16th Anti-Barnevernet Protest

Long before the Romanians were fighting the Norwegian CPS, the Czechs were veterans in this fight against Barnevernet. One of these activists is Jitka Fialova and she has a motivating message for Norway:

Hi,
I am Jitka Fialová, a mother of three and one of the admins on the page Norway, give us back the children you stole.

I joined the stop barnevernet movement about a year ago when I was informed about the story of Eva Michalaková. In this case, her 2 children were taken by Barnevernet after false accusations and separated not only from their mother and father but also from all other relatives, their language, their culture and from each other.

I found out that Children’s rights in Norway are not valued like I would expect in this reportedly most democratic country in the world. An arrested criminal has far better legal protection than small children who are being taken away from their families without any provocation and placed with total strangers. Criminals can be held only a few hours in custody to be evaluated by an experienced police lawyer. A small acutely replaced child may have to wait several months for a careful evaluation of whether the conditions for snatching him or her were met!

With my engagement in this issue I want to prove that an Eastern country like the Czech republic can be more civilized than Norway because we do care about our families.

So please join demonstrations around the world on April 16th to stop barnevernet.

My friends in Norway, please go to Oslo, Stryn, Bergen or any other city where a protest is scheduled to join the fight against Barnevernet!

Video Appeal from European Parliament Member to Join Anti-Barnevernet Protest

.

Hello friends from Norway.

I am Tomáš Zdechovský (public FB photo below) member of the European Parliament.

I would like to motivate everybody to join the demonstration which aims to stop Barnevernet and which will take place in many cities on April 16th.  We have received announcements from many European citizens whose healthy families were [dismantled] by this organization.

Barnevernet is fully autonomous and it was proven many times that they didn’t act in the best interest of the children, and prefer foster families to biological families.

Norway is a beautiful country but it has a skeleton in their [closet] which can be disposed of with your help and action.

Please do not be silent, but help Czech mother Eva Michalakova and many others in their fight for justice, and make Norway safe for biological families again.

To the Shame of Norway, Barnevernet Strikes Back!

Steven Bennett (photo) is an English teacher from London who is a vocal supporter of the Bodnariu cause. He brings us shocking news about what Barnevernet has planned for April 16th, the international day of protest against this diabolical system. Steven writes:

“Many parents are now being given visitation dates by the CPS to see their children/loved ones on Saturday 16 April, knowing that the parents will choose seeing their children over going to one of the protests in Norway. One Barnevernet employee made a comment to one mother, “well, we will see how many will participate on this day, when so many of you will have visitations.

Despite them trying to silence the families, Barnevernet will not be able to stop the world from protesting! Steven continues to write:

“A friend of mine took the bus today from Oslo to Hemsedal. Next to him was a very pleasant man from Poland, who is a resident of Førde. This is not too far from where the Bodnariu children were taken from their parents.

He had just returned from Poland where he had visited the two youngest of his four children. His two oldest children still live in Førde.

My friend asked him the reason why his two youngest children don’t live with him now in Norway. The Polish man told him it was because the local CPS, Barnevernet took his youngest children through an emergency decision, but he won them back in a county court decision after four months of separation.

The two youngest children now live with relatives in Poland, because it’s far too dangerous for him to raise his children in Norway – the risks of losing them for trivial reasons are just far too high. This man was one of the fortunate ones, sadly, many others, are not so fortunate.

The biological principle was meant to be the guiding and determining factor in child welfare law, yet in Norway today, we see this principle trampled firmly down in the mud and ignored.

For example, a mother and her little daughter are being assessed by psychologists and social workers, who are building a case over a few hours of video tape. Can you image the pressure the mother and her poor child are under? The ‘experts’ checking the vital contact between mother and daughter, concluding afterwards, that the emotional bond, lack of eye contact etc. are good enough reasons of robbing this precious innocent child of her mother. They are not interested in the competence of a tired mum or the irrevocable damage this will cause to her daughter and the pain and hurt this will cause to both of them. They don’t care that the child will be raised with a complete stranger, and the contact between grandparents and relatives will be two or three hours, three times a year, if they are lucky.

In the past, child welfare educators, psychologists, psychiatrists and judges, recognised the biological principle as the most ethical and moral direction to go in, as this was seen as the ‘best interest for the child.’ In Norway today, sadly, there is currently little interest in going in this direction. The moral ground has been taken away, and the best interest of the child has been replaced with the best interest of the ‘Norwegian CPS system.’

You can place children with complete strangers which will provide an instrument of care, but they will never receive motherly/paternal love, no grandfather will see them, other than a fleeting moment (no hugging) at one of the three two hour visits a year, if they are lucky. Norway’s CPS doesn’t take into the slightest regard the great love, the huge bond, the biological connection, between father and child.

Countless children are managing to escape from foster care and institutions, finding their way back home to mum and dad, only to be swept away again with police assistance. They still try again.

If anyone remembers a British television series in the late 60’s called ‘The Prisoner,’ starring Patrick McGoohan, you will notice eerily similar patterns to events in today’s Norway. In the series, those abducted do not have names; instead, they are given a number. Number two has to monitor number six (protagonist) and make sure he doesn’t escape. A major theme of the series is individualism, as represented by number six, versus collectivism, as represented by number two and the others in the Village.

Ignoring the biological principle in Norway is destroying thousands of children’s lives, tormenting and devastating parents in the process – just because of poor eye contact, sleeping patterns, food habits or some other trivial thing. Barnevernet, Norway’s CPS has completely ruined the child welfare system by making the biological principle invalid.

Do you hear the cries of the children in Norway? Can you feel the torment, fear and anxiety that Norway’s CPS puts healthy families through? It’s a reality and if you do hear those cries, please make sure you make a stand and turn up at a protest in your area.

Please support the persecuted families in Norway and support those who can’t be there because of visitations, fear, or reprisals.”

Prof. Marianne H. Skanland Warns About Extensive Government Surveillance in Norway

DSCN0346

Total surveillance of Norwegian homes to prevent crime?

March 11th 2016 brought the news that our government intends to increase secret surveillance in Norway. The Minister of Justice will have the police carry out new types of surveillance, without having to obtain a court order beforehand, including secret searches of homes, placing of secret microphones and cameras, hacking into private computers to obtain mail correspondence but also to monitor running activities such as drafts of mails which are never sent. (Links here, here and here).

The motivation behind this is to prevent terrorism. But the proposals will cover all “serious crime”.

The effect on family life with children

Having paid some attention to the public debate about children in Norway over the last twenty years, I have seen groups of people, such as politicians and lawyers / jurists concerned with ‘child rights’, develop a way of thinking of nearly anything negative in children’s lives as very serious offences against them.

It is as if they truly believe that children should grow up in padded cells and never get acquainted with sorrow as well as joy, setbacks as well as success, uncertainty and danger being part of life that one needs some experience of.

The Minister of Justice proposes here:

“Typer saker dette skal gjelde for er blant annet kriminalitet som drap, terror, menneskesmugling, frihetsberøvelse, overgrep mot barn og masseødeleggelsesvåpen, hovedsakelig med med strafferamme over ti år i fengsel.”

(Types of cases where this will be applied are e.g. crimes such as killing, terror, human trafficking, deprivation of liberty, abuse of children, and mass destruction weapons, mainly carrying a sentence of 10 years or more or imprisonment.)

10 years may sound reassuring, but we are on a slippery slope, very likely. This is seen from the debate: Serious politicians mention the possession of child pornography as a reasonable target for such surveillance Dagsnytt 18 (the daily news at 6 pm). This topic starts at 00:56

Children are clearly in people’s minds and no doubt anything called ‘violence’ against children is covered by ‘abuse’.

What will happen?

So I think it very likely that such surveillance as they now plan will be snapped up as a possibility by the child expert professions, and carried out in any home with children if Barnevernet (the CPS) sees fit to do so, nobody in Norwegian public life protesting very much.

There are already CPS cases in which the CPS has planted people in the home to sit there and write down whatever the family members do (or their ‘interpretation’ of it). In addition to driving the family out of their minds, it is of course used by the CPS as proof that the family is an unfit place for children.

There is already a mental climate in Norway that does not greatly object to total nanny-state monitoring of everything. An example is that psychology expert Einar C. Salvesen, who holds the abduction of the children to be a tragedy and wants to help them, had no reservations to suggesting an alternative method which he thinks the CPS might have done well to use: put a CPS worker or a psychologist in the Bodnariu home, to be there 24/7, to observe what they did and advise them on their treatment of the children. He also recommends that not one psychologist but a whole team of psychologists should evaluate any single CPS case. But actually, that is what they do already, just in a slightly different way: They often evaluate other psychologists who have been engaged in the case at an earlier stage. It is very rare that this helps the family, and it has certainly not led to any revolt among psychologists against the way most of them conduct their work in CPS cases.

Appeal to Oslo, Stryn, Bergen and the Rest of Norway!

Hello friends from Norway

I am dr. Chris Prunean from California, the blogger at delightintruth.com.  As a father of 4 children and a physician, I would like to motivate you, the great people of Norway to no longer be silent about the human rights violations committed by the Child Protective Services in Norway.

It is now international news that the Norwegian CPS is removing children from good and loving families for trivial matters, and in the process it violates basic human rights.

The CPS confiscated the 5 Bodnariu children in Naustdal without a social investigation, without warning, and without due process for the parents.  Moreover, no evidence of abuse was found on any of the children. Now imagine the horror the parents have experienced when they found bruises and scrapes on their children during visitation! These are injuries which happened to the children while under CPS custody!

Ezekiel, the youngest of the children was a 3 month old nursing infant when he was taken.  It is a crime against humanity in any society  to remove a nursing infant from his mother’s breast, without any evidence of abuse.

Since the Bodnariu case was publicized, many other CPS victims have come forward with their cases in social media. They want to let you know about the injustice they have suffered at the hand of the CPS.

On April 16th, 2016 we are asking the good people of Norway to once again step up and fight injustice, this time against Barnevernet. Come out and join the protests in Stryn, Oslo, and Bergen and let the govt know that family rights and human rights cannot be violated in Norway!

I am asking you to join with hundreds of thousands on multiple continents on April 16th to protest against the CPS, to force the CPS to return the Bodnariu children and other children unfairly confiscated back to their parents.

Together, let’s make this a modern D-Day. Let the children come home and reform Barnevernet.

God bless you all, and may God bless Norway.

Norway Has to Answer to the European Court of Human Rights!

The forced adoption that can change Norwegian Barnevern for ever:  My children ask when they can meet their big brother. I cannot answer them.

Now Norway has to answer to the European Court of Human Rights.

This is the title on the front page of Dagbladet News, a popular Norwegian newspaper. This is the most critical article toward the Norwegian CPS to date.

After months of international anti-Barnevernet pressure we are starting to see some effect inside Norway. There have been TV programs as well as other isolated articles pointing to the demonstrations held in Europe, America and Australia.

But this article is different. It highlights a case against Norway brought before the European Court of Humans Rights. This is a big deal. Norway must answer before the Court if it violated article 8 of the Convention pertaining to family rights in a 2008 case where a child was confiscated and given into adoption without considering the grandparents wishes to adopt the child.  Moreover the Court is concerned that human rights were violated in the handling of the case.

The article then brings sharp criticism toward CPS showing statistics of child confiscation:

“The number of children and young people placed outside the home by the end of the year increased by 58 percent from 2003 to 2014. In relation to the population aged 0-22 years, the number placed in care increased from 7 to 10 per 1000 children and adolescents from 2003 to 2014.”

These are insanely high numbers. The number of employees in Barnevernet has almost doubled in the same time period as well.

A petition signed by 170 Norwegian CPS professionals raises serious concern about how aggressive and intrusive the system has become in Norway. It states:

“Too often we see that biological parents, who do not have all the world’s resources to back them up stand no chance against a big and powerful public apparatus… There is hardly any other area of society where government intervenes so radically into people’s private sphere.”

***

One thing is clear: Barnevernet is a large locomotive with huge inertia. It is now under assault from various angles. It has many rocks, darts, bullets, protests, articles, blogs, social media posts etc, flying at it. Barnevernet knows it is under unprecedented attack. April 16th, 2016 will be a major blow to this arrogant system.

More and more Norwegians are joining our cause everyday, and today’s article in Dagbladet will sound a major alarm.

Keep the pressure on. The massive locomotive shows signs of slowing down. It must be stopped.

“You Have to Say It or We Will Never Be Finished”

FullSizeRender (1)

Delight in Truth is shocked to discover that leading questions form the basis of CPS interviews with children in Norway.

Imagine the following scenario: a 6-year-old girl is kept for 4 hours in an interrogation-style room with only a psychologist and a video camera. The psychologist wants to extract a confession from the girl to the effect that her stepfather abused her sexually. The girl denies it 22 times and she is even surprised at some of the questions.

Then the shocker: the psychologist tells her she will be able to leave the room only after incriminating the stepfather.

“You have to say it, you see, or else we will never be finished.”

After much hesitation the girl agrees to the psychologist’s version of events, but never actually repeats those events herself. This graphic video exists on Ray the Man YouTube channel.

As a result of this forced and false confession, the girl was removed from her home and fostered with various parents. The 6-year-old girl is now age 19 and has seen the video with her deposition from 13 years ago. Imagine seeing yourself as a little child being manipulated by an adult in a position of authority to agree to something that never happened.

The young woman watched in amazement and confirmed that words were put in her mouth. She also explained that it was so unpleasant being in that room, that she resigned to saying anything to escape the situation.

This is what Barnevernet does. This is how they interview children. We are not surprised that one of the Bodnariu girls said: “I do not know what else to make up” during her CPS deposition. The CPS then turns around and uses data from these coerced confessions against the parents… If the children only knew the real reason these leading questions are asked of them!

I am writing these articles in the hope they will be read by Norwegians. We must get this message inside Norway because these methods of interviewing children are not acceptable. They constitute parental and family rights violations.

Barnevernet methods violate human rights.
